The United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) was established in 1967 to support countries in the field of crime prevention and justice administration.
UNICRI supports international organizations, national and local governments, nongovernmental organizations, educational and academic institutions through research and analysis, technical cooperation, training programs, exchange of information and advisory services. UNICRI works in close relationship with relevant UN agencies and bodies.
UNICRI is based in Turin, Italy.
