Commission for Social Development

Since the convening of the World Summit for Social Development in Copenhagen in 1995, the Commission for Social Development  has been the main UN body for the implementation of the Copenhagen Declaration and Programme of Action.  

The Commission consists of 46 member elected by ECOSOC.

The Commission for Social Development submits an annual report to the ECOSOC in the documentary series Supplements to the Official Records of the Economic and Social Council. A complete collection of these supplements in print will be found in the UN Collection of the Dag Hammarskjöld Library, Uppsala, and in the libraries at UN Headquarters in New York and Geneva
